More Kitchen & stuff

Today was interesting, as we were not here.

The kitchen guys told us the oven would arrive on Monday and they'd be installing on Tuesday. As they didn't call, we went to Candeleda to bring my car to the auto body shop as someone hit my car a week ago. Then we went to Villanueva to give our bills to the accountant, have a coffee with some friends, buy kitchen material from another friend who went out of business. Also, we cooked, cleaned house, shopped and ate.

When we finally came to Madrigal again, we saw the truck of Jofrima and I knew they were there for us. Yes, they had been working all morning and a lot of stuff was there already. Luckily we had given them a key. We unloaded the kitchen material we had bought in the morning and then Jofrima arrived with 'the oven'.

Tomorrow Jofrima will finish installing the kitchen, and on Friday 'the oven' will be tuned. On Saturday we could be serving guests (alas, that will not be the case, the Vet has to authorize us yet).

So far, the technologies potential clients have listed are outside my skill set, but something is bound to come my way. Fallacies 'R Us

After debating with religious people on Twitter for a number of months (mostly Christians, some Muslims and a few... stray bullets), I thought to myself that all arguments for gods are based on flawed logic. A short convo confirmed that, indeed, my fellow atheists on Twitter believe the same. This is a short list with the most common logical fallacies I've encountered. This post will be updated to incorporate new fallacies when they present themselves. The Fallacy Fallacy Warning: Using flawed logic doesn't mean that your conclusion is necessarily wrong, it just means that you cannot base your conclusion on that logic. Ubuntu - Auto-mount an encrypted drive

My new computer has a "small" SSD and a large HDD. Solid-State Drives are the popular choice for startup disks as they are blazing fast, while ordinary Hard-Disk Drives are excellent for long time storage. [As an aside, don't ignore your backup strategy. I've written (and published) my own open-source backup utility .] When I installed Ubuntu, I encrypted both drives, which is cool. However, when I started the computer for the first time, the HDD did not mount. Bummer. I managed to semi-auto-mount the HDD with the Disks Utility (encryption options -> Unlock at system startup) and with Nautilus, but I still had to manually navigate to the HDD (in Nautilus) before I could work.
